The mural along with work of 12 artists (including paintings by Eva and Kristin) comprised the exhibition The Political Landscape – landscape art sparked by political activism and environmental issues.  Prescient in view of today’s climate crisis, the works – curated by Mary Ann Wadden – reflected the technology explosion of the 1980s with the activist sensibility of the 1960s. Conveying a sense of environmental urgency, the mural and the individual works served as a call to action by  government, industry and the public to seek solutions for humanity’s tenuous fate on an increasingly fragile planet earth.
