Viva Loisaida Award, presented by The Loisaida Center (NY, NY) in posthumous recognition of Eva Cockcroft, founding director of Artmakers Inc, for “her dedication, love, artistry, and service to the people of the community of the Lower East Side.” The full citation can be viewed here.

National Mural Award, presented by Precita Eyes Mural Arts Center (San Francisco, CA) to Artmakers’ 2005 collective mural When Women Pursue Justice.
1993
Women Waging Peace Award, presented by the New York City Commission on the Status of Women to Artmakers’ artists Rochelle Shicoff and Janet Braun-Reinitz for East New York Women’s Wall and several other Artmakers mural projects.

New York City Human Resources Administration Award for the Auburn Shelter (Brooklyn, NY) mural project.
